Michael Grant Stiles

Michael Grant Stiles passed away on February 7, 2025, in Pueblo, Colorado. Born on October 24, 1959, in Pueblo, Michael spent his life dedicated to both his profession and personal passions.

Michael built a distinguished career spanning 31 years as a clinical therapist, and as a supervisor of the high-security forensic building at Colorado Mental Health Institute (Pueblo). His dedication to helping others was evident throughout his professional life. In addition to his work in therapy, Michael was also the owner and operator of Shake Handlers Roofing, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to hard work.

Beyond his career, Michael had a deep love for the outdoors and recreation. He was the proud owner of Stiles Landing campground at Blue Mesa Reservoir, a place that reflected his passion for nature and community. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, and enjoying the thrill of numerous games of chance and being a Referee for High School Football. Michael embraced life with enthusiasm and adventure. He was also a compassionate, generous and caring friend, often calling friends and family just to see how they were doing.

Michael is survived by his wife, Jan; brothers Patrick Stiles, Dennis Moore, and Sean Stiles; sister Gail Watt; and in-laws Robin Engram and Russ Taravella. He is predeceased by his mother, JoAnne Siebenaller (Stiles), and father, Dorwin Stiles; brother, Sterling Stiles and his beloved in-laws Charles and Kay Engram.

Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who shared in his journey.
