Na’lah Amada Sanchez, our “Precious Dancing Flower”, 6, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2026. Born on January 9, 2020 to Rhiannon (Martinez) Sanchez in Pueblo, CO. She is preceded in death by her great great grama Carmen Chavez, her great grampa Santos Granillo “Chief Gray Soaring Eagle” and great great great aunt Mary “Kathy”Hernandez.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Rhiannon Sanchez, grama “GiGi” Carol Granillo Trujillo, great-grama, Mercedes Granillo, uncle/sidekick, Antonio Trujillo, Nina Layla Martinez; Godparents Renee & Angelo Chavez, Tia Antonia “Toni” Martinez, UncleAngelo Trujillo (Alyssa); cousins, Harmaney Martinez-Gonzales, Memorie Gonzales, Robert Gonzales; big uncle, Santos Granillo III along with numerous other family and friends.
Na’lah enjoyed being outside, playing basketball and riding her bike & scooter. She loved swimming, playing with her friends, and wrestling with family. She loved spending time with her mom, having girls’ days and playing dress-up. She was a diva who loved to wear dresses and high heels; even though she struggled walking in them. She loved singing and dancing. Na’lah loved to talk to anyone who would listen and show them her toys. She enjoyed helping her teachers and classmates.
Na’lah wanted to be a cheerleader just like her cousin Memorie and a professional wrestler like John Cena. She was best friends with her uncle Antonio, and loved being picked up by her big cousin Bobby. Her favorite color was purple like her cousin Harmaney. Na’lah liked to argue with her Nina Layla and wrestle with her Gigi day andnight. She was a nightmare to sleep with, she would constantly wrestle with you for the whole bed. She and her uncle “Tonio” loved to torment her Tia “Toni”. Na’lah was an only child, so of course she was spoiled by her family and got whatever she wanted.
Na’lah will forever be loved and missed by her family and friends. Her big smile and beautiful eyes will never be forgotten.
