Nellie Terronez

Nellie Terronez, 78, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Friday, June 24, 2022, in her Oro Valley, Arizona home. She was born on July 4, 1943, in Pueblo, Colorado to Jose and Lucy Rodriguez. She graduated class of 1961, from Central High School. Shortly after graduating she joined the Order of the Dominican, where she served as Sister Mary Lucine until 1969. On February 14, 1970 she married the love of her life, Nick Terronez. She was the insurance supervisor at St. Mary Corwin Hospital, and later worked in finance at Pacific Bell. Nellie enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching sports. She also enjoyed daily visits from hummingbirds and spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving children Michael and Kristine Terronez; her grandchildren Kylie and Hunter Terronez; and her sisters Esther Baca, Mildred Mariano, and Delores Jiron and brother Pat Rodriguez.  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
