Nolan Jevon Bowman, beloved son, father, and brother, passed away in Pueblo, Colorado, on October 19, 2025, at the age of 53. He was born in Pueblo on January 17, 1972, and lived most of his life in the city where he was born.
He graduated from East High School in Pueblo, Colorado. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged, earning the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge during his service. After his time in the military, Nolan pursued studies in the paralegal field, reflecting his interest in justice and advocacy.
Nolan will be remembered for his soulful nature and private heart. He found meaning in the small things—music, memories, moments of stillness. He didn’t always speak his truth aloud, but those close to him knew it was there, steady and strong. Nolan’s journey as a father was imperfect, but his love was real and enduring. Though not always expressive, his love was evident in the care he took and the sacrifices he made.
He is survived by his father, Joe T. Bowman (Deb); his mother, Ella L. Bowman; his children, Nolan James Bowman (Erika Hatchett-Plascencia) and Porcha Alexandrea Truesdale; his siblings, Lydell L. Bowman (Tamara), Brad Ross, TraLinda Bowman, and DaShon Bowman; his nieces, Myah Delgado (Raymond), Malia Delgado, and Rayven Bowman; his nephews, Seth Bowman and Isaias Delgado; his aunt, Bess Howell; his uncle, Chuck Howell; and cousins who were like siblings: Nataki Albrow, Dominic Albrow, Shaquin Albrow, Asha Howell, and Gary West.
His grandparents, Willie Albrow, Ann Albrow, Joe T. Bowman Sr., Josephine Saunders, and his great-grandmother, Elva Macaluso, preceded him in death.
Memorial service, 11 am, Fri., Nov. 7, 2025 at Angelus Chapel in Pueblo, Colorado
