Norma Trujillo Obituary

Norma Jean Trujillo 69, transitioned from this life April 3rd, 2022. She was born March 25, 1953 in Pueblo, Colorado to Alfred Lucero and Eleanor Botts, both of whom preceded her in death, along with Melisandro E. Trujillo, father-in-law andDiego De Gadoi, brother and Bobby Leyba, son-in-law.

Norma Jean worked at Kwik-Way Convenience Store for nine years and Banquet Schuster’s Bakery for 32 years. She truly loved her job greeting customers and meeting new people, who usually became dear friends. Norma Jean had a golden heart and treasured each and every one of her friendships. Dinners at Norma’s were always special, she was such a good cook. Her beans, green chili and homemade tortillas were the best. She loved all the kids and they were always welcome at their home. They brought so much joy to her life. Norma and Robert would take them on outings for fun and the kids will all remember that those were the best of times. She loved reading, going to concerts, dining at her favorite places, going on out of town trips and most of all spending time with her family. She was the kindest, sweetest, loving soul that you could ever meet. She had an abundance of love in her heart and shared it with everyone in her life. We were truly blessed to have had her in our lives.

Norma Jean is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Robert Trujillo, and her two loving daughters, Louise and Margarita Castro; siblings Melba (Danny) Miller, Stan (Denene) Botts and Louise Baca; Nine Grandchildren Isabella (DJ) Leyba, Bernadette (Ronnie) Arellano, Gloria (Mike) Leyba, Angelo, Eucevio, Benito, Mariana, Teodoro and Sadie Garcia, and Five Great-Grandchildren Josiah, Emilio, Harley, Ronnie and Ori; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
