Patricia Marie Romero

Patricia Marie Romero, 57, passed away March 17, 2021 a lifetime Puebloan.  She was born October 18, 1963 to proud Dr. LeeRoy Martinez and Agnes “Dolly” (Romero) Martinez. She is preceded in death by her mother. “Ms. Trish” as she was affectionately known, served as a Community Advocate in many educational settings.  She loved her students and always advocated for the students who were underserved. They all had a special place in her heart. Trish enjoyed traveling with her family and attending sporting events. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed visits to the Santuario along with visiting her family in Pennsylvania. She was a great cook and always wanting to share her food with family and friends. She had an infectious laugh and a heart made of gold. Trish always cared for others no matter how much she was troubled by her own physical pain; she will be indeed our angel and the baby of the family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph “Ernie” Romero; father, Dr. LeeRoy Martinez; children, Jared (Sara) Romero, Ryan (Shy-Ann) Romero; siblings, Terri Martinez (Virgil Eiferd) and Dean (Tammy) Martinez; 4 grandchildren, Emma, Zoey, Gabriella and Jared Jr.; stepmother, Rosalie B. Martinez; sister and brother in-laws, Terrie (Tony) Trujillo, Rochelle Romero, DeAnna (Bob) Wistoff, Lee Romero, Lino (Missy) Bueno and Fernando (Megan) Bueno; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Memorial Mass 10 am Wednesday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Limited Seating due to COVID restrictions, Mask Required.
