Patrocinio Martinez, 90, went home to Jesus on June 24, 2021.
Patrocinio was born to Benjamin and Julia Martinez on July 4, 1930 in Mora, New Mexico. As a child he grew up in Fowler, Colorado where he met his wife Edwenia Trujillo and together had 5 kids: Robert, Charlie, Pearl, Stella, and Lupe.
In 1950, he made the ultimate sacrifice by serving our country, joining the United States Army. He also liked to go fishing, maintaining his yard, and spending time with his family. After retiring from the military Patrocinio work for the City of Pueblo until the age of 83.
Patrocinio is survived by his children: Robert Martinez, Charlie (Lorraine) Martinez, Stella Martinez, Pearl Gallegos, Lupe (Ralph) Gallegos; his grandchildren Cassandra, Joey, Bernadette (Bradley) Petite, Aaron, Richard, Charline (David) Blea, Savannah (Pablo) Mondragon, Lonny (Sarah) Gallegos, Michael Gallegos, and Trisha; 9 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren; siblings, Nora, Genevieve, Jennie, and Frank. Mass of Christian Burial, 9 a.m Wednesday Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team.

Dad go to the heavens where you will no longer suffer from pain. The pain in my heart is full, but my mind is telling my heart you are happy now, because in the heavens you can be the man that you used to be. Rest in peace dad, I miss you!
