Phillip James Martinez, 57, passed away on May 14, 2024. He was born April 1, 1967 in Pueblo, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eligio and Herlinda Martinez along with his brothers, Henry Martinez and Eligio Martinez Jr.; sister, Doreen Martinez; sisters-in- law, Vicki Campa and Susan Martinez; and longtime friend, Sammy Lopresti.
Phil had a smile that was infectious and welcoming. He loved and protected his family and countless special friends. His heart will be greatly missed as well as his music that he enjoyed so much. He loved to spend time with his friends and family. He played on numerous Pool and Dart Leagues. Phil received his high school diploma and went on to P.C.C. and received many certificates and worked as a Logistics Technician for many years. He could fix any problems you had with a hug, a smile, a listening ear, a song, a drink or the Truth! He also enjoyed cooking for his loved ones, especially his favorite foods, spaghetti and lasagna with his own secret sauce.
Phil leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Leeane Alcon, his tiny one!; daughter-in-law, Dominique Tenorio Alcon; step-son, Eric Alcon, very special friend, Charlotte Alcon; son, Aaron Jimenez; daughter-in-law, Carlee Jimenez; step-grandchild, Nevaeh Jimenez; brothers, Gabriel Martinez and Ray Martinez; sister, Colleen Martinez; brother-in-law, Ralph Romero; special nieces, Vanessa Finley, Ayonna Finley, Annjanette Martinez, Reeann Martinez, and Isabel Cancio; special nephews, Ron Bustos, Isaiah Aragon, and Stevon Martinez; special friends, Victor Sanchez, Angela Garbiso, Pete Enriquez, Miles and Trudy Pacheco; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Phil did not want sorrow or guilt or pain. He would want you to play a song, have a drink and keep your good memories in your heart and say this is not goodbye, it’s see you later, sap sucka’s, plad’s, and KOOKS!
HAKUNA MATATA.
