Rachel (Raquel) Ogaz, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2021. She was 93 years old. She had recently gone to live in Denver with her son and daughter in-law, Vincent and Christine Ogaz. Rachel was surrounded with the love of her family and amazing views of the big city and mountains from her penthouse suite. Prior to this move, she was a longtime resident of Pueblo, Colorado. Born December 27, 1927 to Bernardo and Esther (Flores) Raigoza, she was one of 3 children. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Ogaz Sr., siblings John and Margaret, and grandson Michael Vincent Masson. Rachel is survived by her 14 children: Justine (Ramon), Rowena, Dahlia, Ventura, Cassandra (Raymond), Vincent (Christine), Leticia (Matthew), Dario, Felipa, Porfirio (Diana), Asteria (David), Nina (Vicente Raul †), Izzy (Brian) and Ravin (Louie Anthony). Rachel was blessed with 32 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Rachel was passionate about living life to the fullest and enjoying every day as a precious gift. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, a 25+ year member of the Eagles Auxiliary, St. Charles Mesa Center, and SRDA Foster Grandparent and volunteer. She competed in bowling leagues, was an avid pool player with numerous trophies, and she enjoyed painting, crocheting, traveling, and dancing. She was a social butterfly at heart. She was also crowned Colorado State Fair Silver Queen in 2018. Her unyielding faith and love for her family will remain her greatest legacy.
Rosary Friday April 23, 2021 1:30 pm with Memorial Mass to follow at 2 p.m, Cathedral of Sacred Heart. Internment Imperial Memorial Gardens.
