Ramona Martinez

Ramona Martinez, 96, passed away Aug. 4, 2024. She was born June 26, 1928 to Louis and Anita (Lucero) Rincon who precede her in death along with her beloved husband, Sabino Martinez; daughter, Delphine Martinez; brothers, Manuel and Louie Rincon; sisters, Elsie Fontanez and Gloria Martinez; son-in-law, James Salas grand-daughter, Melissa Peterson; great-grand grandchildren, Kingston and Bentleigh Peterson.

Ramona was a devout Catholic and lifetime member of St. Leander’s. She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises with her grandkids, camping, and the mountains. Ramona was the matriarch of 4 generations, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren who were her world. She loved to share her time, stories, wisdom and love with each of them.

Ramona leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Patricia Salas, Judy (Ernie) Madrid; grandchildren, Sean (Rebecca Garcia) Madrid, Zach (Jen) Martinez, Sarah (Luke) Sares, Colby (Paul) Ortiz, Joy Chavez, Tina Salas; great-grandchildren, Joni (Austin) Santistevan, Shawnna Madrid, Manny Silva, James Silva, Riley (Charlie) Kelly, Cloieann, Vivilee and Sabino Chavez, Luca Ortiz, Juliana (Cesar) Ruiz, Taylor, Layla and Piper Martinez; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who loved, adored, and will miss Ramona dearly.
