Raquel I. Gonzales, 39, passed away Nov. 18, 2023. A lifetime Puebloan she was born July 21, 1984 to Pete and Lorraine Reyes Gonzales who precede her in death along with brother, Pete Gonzales Jr., grandparents, Andres and Isabel Gonzales, Julia and Porfilio Reyes; God-parents Mary and Nicho Esquivel.
Raquel enjoyed hiking and picking the best rocks. She was an excellent cook, you never left her home hungry. She had a sweet tooth; she would make the best pistachio pudding. It was her “DUTY” to test all sweets. Raquel was a hard worker, and being the best mom to her babies was her priority. She was an exceptional little sister and was always there for everyone in the family. Her biggest joy was her children, they were her heart. Teaching them life lessons, sharing her wisdom, and spreading her love to her children meant everything to her. Her motto was to never give up and keep trying.
Raquel leaves to cherish her memory; her children, David Aguilar, Estrella Aguilar (Gabie Gallina), and Dennis Aguilar; siblings, Petrina (Lorenzo) Duarte, Roberta (Robert) Montoya, and Genieve Apodaca; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and friends; best-friends, Katrina Flynn; boyfriend, Aaron Brown.
Funeral service 2p.m. Monday Nov. 27, 2023 at Angelus Chapel. Internment, Roselawn Cemetery.
