Ray M. Duran

Ray M. Duran, 92, passed away peacefully Oct. 20, 2023. He was born Aug. 25, 1931 on Ocate, New Mexico to Joe and Adelina Duran both preceded him in death. Ray was a retired SMSGT of the United States Air Force with 22 years of service. After retirement he worked as a funeral director for many years at Angelus Chapel. He was very social; he would strike a conversation up with anyone. He was very selfless, always putting others before himself. He was the light of his family, offering each of them words of wisdom, life lessons, and his love. Ray is survived by his wife, Inez Solano Duran; his sister, Bernice (Leroy) Martinez; grandson, Daniel Hernandez; his daughter, Mary “Mona” Hernandez; his son, Ray (Beth) Duran Jr.; many more relatives and friends. Ray was a cherished man of two families who was loved and will be missed dearly. Special thanks to Gentiva hospice for the care given to Ray.
