Raymond N. Gonzales

Raymond N. Gonzales, 79, affectionately known as “Rudy” passed away Nov 12, 2021. He was born March 15, 1942 in Butte Valley Colorado to Refugio and Mary S. Gonzales. Both parents precede him along with his brother, Rosendo Gonzales, sisters, Paula Archuleta, and Mary Velasquez.

Rudy gave four years of service as a Corporal in the Marines. He worked at and retired from Byerly and Coslyeon Concrete Contractors. He was a handyman always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved working outside in the garage and listening to his favorite genres of music, Mexican, Oldies, and Jazz. He was a football fan and enjoyed putting his organizational skills to use by running football betting pools. He was a health fanatic, always reading books about health and grilling nutritious foods. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, one on one, and at family functions and events.  

Rudy leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Monica Gonzales, and Yvonne Phoenix; sons, Louis (Misty) Gallegos, Tom (Raeann) Velarde; brothers, Ben (Filda) Gonzales, Pete Baca; sisters, Mickey Haun, Ramona (Charlie) Ortiz, Angelina Sisneros, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchild and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
