Renee J. Johnson, 66, passed away July 8, 2024. A lifetime Puebloan she was born October 14, 1957 to parents Vernon and Louise (Heacker) Johnson; both precede her in death along with her siblings, Rosalie Barkley, Jack Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Ray Johnson, and Frank Johnson.
Renee was a proud South High School graduate. She retired from CF&I with 46 years of service and was very involved with the Steelworkers Union #2102. She enjoyed traveling, camping, going to concerts, spoiling and spending time with her grandkids. Renee cheered on the Raiders, win or lose. She also cared for the strays; 2 & 4 legged. Renee was always wanting to help anyone, no matter what the situation was, she was there. She also enjoyed campaigning, she was so very proud of her picture with President Obama and meeting him personally. Renee was a true supporter of Women’s rights. She was a very hard worker and an excellent provider for her children and family. Renee was the youngest of the family but was the glue that kept them all together. Sharing her life lessons, words of wisdom and love for each of them.
Renee is survived by her children, Cassandra Mazzocco and Joseph Mazzocco; her grandchildren, Ian & Donovan, and Olivia & Angelo; her brothers, Russell and Vernon Johnson; special niece and caretaker, Brenda Mapes; and her four-legged companions, Baby and Momma, along with many family and friends.
