Rodney Westhoff, 77, passed away unexpectedly on July 23, 2024. Born in Illinois on November 14, 1946 to proud parents, Fred and Anne (Henderson) Westhoff, who precede him in death along with his sister, Bonnie (Jack) Aisquith; brother, Jimmy Westhoff; granddaughters, Emily Westhoff and Belle Cavender; and in-laws, Norman and Maurine Kannady; Nick Nicklin, Ottie Kuhn, and Brenda Kannady.
Rodney served in the US Marines Corp. attaining the rank of Sgt E-5. He was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus, served as an Election Judge, and volunteered at church festivals and Bingos. A devout Catholic, he prayed his rosary and attended mass daily. In his younger years he enjoyed camping and making outdoor survival items. He was highly involved in Pueblo politics as an election judge and campaign caller, with his children describing him as an "activist". His family was his world, and he was a hardworking and dedicated provider.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Karen Westhoff; his children, Norman (Jennifer) Westhoff, Chrissy Cavender, Amy Westhoff (Scott Daniels), and Jacob Cavender; sisters, Clairann Nicklin and Joan Kuhn; grandchildren, Keagan, Aydan, Ezkial (Georgia), Kayne, Layla, Kollin, Alex, and Jasper; and in-laws, Sandra (Bob) Kennedy, Colleen (Dennis) McClung, and John Kannady
Rosary, 10 am and Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am, Thurs., Aug. 1, 2024 both at St. Francis Xavier. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team, Interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
