Rosalie Hernandez, 72, a lifelong resident of Pueblo, passed away on November 15, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benigno Montoya and Mary (Trujillo) Montoya; her daughter, Martha Alvarez; her grandson, Jose Alvarez; and her siblings, Richard Dominguez, Peter Montoya, Judy Cordova Anaya, and Vicki Garcia.
Rosalie loved going to bingo, sharing stories, and spending time with her family. She was always on the phone with loved ones; so much so that her family often teased her that she should have been a telephone operator. Rosalie was straightforward and honest; she never beat around the bush and never sugarcoated anything. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and had a warm, friendly presence that made people feel welcome.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eduardo Hernandez; her siblings, Bernice Martinez, Phillip Montoya, Beatrice Peña, and Charles Montoya; her grandchildren, Orlando Pacheco, Maria Alvarez, Melanie Martinez, and Pedro Pacheco; and her great-grandchildren, Selena, Hadassah, Evanescence, Calliope Alvarez-Gray, Marciela Alvarez, and Jose Jr. Alvarez.
At her request, cremation. No formal services.
