Rosita "Rose" Baca Trujillo, 87, passed away November 2, 2025. She was born on December 28th, 1937, to Jake and Rose Baca, in Pueblo, CO.
Rose grew up in Salt Creek, and she passed in her daughter and long-time caregivers’ home in Pueblo West. She worked at Sacred Heart home from 1970-1980, then the State hospital from 1980-90 and finally Stepping Stone girls’ home from 1990-94. Rose was a CSUP Alum and had her bachelor’s in psychology.
Rose is survived by her sister, Debbie (Marty) Baca Duran; her children, Janet (Joe Giron) Trujillo, Bruce Trujillo, Shawn (Dorothy) Trujillo, Levi (MaryLou) Trujillo, and Alan (Arlene) Trujillo; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, goddaughter, Louise Roldan; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Rosary, 1:30 pm and Mass of Christian Burial, 2 pm, Fri., Nov. 7, 2025 both at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
