Obituary

Scottie Lewis Sanders, 28, passed away unexpectedly on April 23, 2023. A lifetime Puebloan he was born Dec. 15, 1994. Scottie is preceded in death by his grandpa, Ted Bierman; great-grandma, Lucy McClelland; great-aunt, Kathy Prowell.

Scottie was a Central High School Graduate of 2013. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He loved to skateboard; it was his “car”. Scottie was a hard worker, and enjoyed working with his hands. He was strong-willed, and feisty. He was a loyal friend to many and enjoyed his time spent with them.  He had a strong bond with his grandma Shirley, who he considered his mama. He was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and was deeply loved. He loved his family and friends with his all and cherished all the time he spent with them.

Scottie leaves to cherish his memory; his father, Scott (Tina) Sanders; grandma who raised him as her own, Shirley Bierman; siblings, Quinton Sanders, Kiahna Sanders, and Raven Martinez; grandpa, Lawrence Sanders; uncles, Troy (Kim) Sanders, and Mike Sanders; numerous cousins, relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
