Sharon Kay (Ryan) Ferguson, 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 17, 2025, following a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on December 12, 1944, to John and Amelia Ryan, and she graduated from Central High School in 1962. She married the love of her life, Norman Charles (Fergie) Ferguson on January 2, 1965, at Trinity Lutheran Church. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2025 surrounded by friends and family.
A lifelong Puebloan, she served as a title clerk for numerous car dealerships and retired from Spradley Motors in 2004.
Sharon enjoyed bowling, shooting darts, and playing the slot machines when she traveled to casinos with her husband. She liked to win, but she didn’t like to gamble. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her love of spending quality time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Ryan and Amelia White; stepfather Glenn White; sisters Joyce Daberkow and Beth Cochran; and nephew Denny Higgs.
She is survived by her husband and two children, Michael and Shelly, of the home; brother-in-law Merlin Daberkow; nieces and nephews Sidnee (Greg) Brummett, Holly (Mike) Baker, Callie Cochran-Hager, Jeff Ryan, Carl Cochran, Darla (Don) Hall, David Daberkow and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
