Simon Albert Ayala, 81, passed away on November 25, 2018. He was born on April 12, 1937 to proud parents, Nicholas and Guadalupe (Mendoza) Ayala who both preceded him in death, along with his wife, Florence Ayala; son, Allan Burgess; siblings, Urban Ayala, Susie Ramirez and Beatrice Solano. Simon served in the U.S Army in 1960 and retired from CF&I with 40+ years of service. He was a great wrestler in his young years, he enjoyed fishing, collecting trinkets and was a true Bronco fan. Simon was a very giving man, helped anyone who was in need and genuinely enjoyed being happy. He was loved throughout the Bessemer district, sharing a cold one with friends, but above all he loved his family and was proud of his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as "Poor Devil, Mighty Mouse and Si". He is survived by son, Simon (Andi) Ayala; siblings, Nicholas (Tomasita) Ayala, Frank (Valerie) Ayala, Chris Ayala, Lupe (Louis) Cortez and Frances Cordova; A special thanks to Dolores Naranjo for the care of Simon; grandchildren, Alejandra, Aaliyah, Felicity and Chance; great grandchildren, Dominick, Ignicio and Zacharias; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends that will dearly miss him. Memorial Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 1, 2018 Angelus Chapel. Family is requesting that you wear your Broncos attire.
