Stevie “Peanuts” Raymond Martinez of Pueblo, CO, went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2025. He was born July 6, 1957.
Stevie was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his son Moses, daughter Stephanie, sisters Anita Montoya and Rita Martinez, and his oldest brother Tony Martinez, who lovingly cared for Stevie at the end of his life. He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved high school sweetheart and wife, Mary “Aggie” Cordova, his parents Mary and Antonio Martinez, his brothers Greg and Michael Martinez, and his son Anthony Martinez.
Stevie was a man full of life, creativity, and humor. He had a gift for music and art, playing trumpet with the band Dusty Brown and expressing himself through drawing. His adventurous spirit took him to Las Vegas and Georgia, where he worked in a chemical plant, before returning home to Pueblo. There, he became known as the “monkey” at Dan Landscaping, admired for the way he climbed trees with ease and dedication.
Stevie’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His laughter, his music, and his warmth will be deeply missed. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4
May we take comfort in knowing Stevie is at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior
At his request cremation, no formal services.
