Teddy Townsend Obituary

Teddy L. Townsend Sr., 81, passed away peacefully on Oct. 1, 2023. He was born in Hennessey, Oklahoma on July 28, 1942 to proud parents Peter and Nila (Ketchel) Townsend. Both precede him in death as well as other family members. Teddy served in the United States Navy. He worked as a mechanic for many years and also as a pilot, which he enjoyed very much. Teddy also loved playing his guitar, listening and singing especially to Country music. Which was his favorite. In his spare time, he loved to fish and hunt, spending time outdoors and the smell of nature he enjoyed. Teddy is survived by his children, Teddy Townsend Jr., Wallace Townsend, Curtis Townsend, Kristi (Dan) Anderson, Brian (Samantha) Townsend and Daniel Townsend; several grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Interment Hennessey Cemetery, Services entrusted to Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey, Oklahoma.
