Teodoro “Ted” Conrad Jaquez, 80, entered into eternal life on May 14, 2026. He was born on November 7, 1945 in San Pablo, Colorado to Alfredo and Julianita Jaquez.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Jaquez; mother, Julianita Jaquez; loving wife, Lorraine Jaquez; siblings, Demetrio, Celsa, Casilda, Armando, Leontina, Marie and Viola.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Toby and Teddy (Pam) Jaquez; grandchildren, Christian, Jade (Anthony), Aja (Adan) Jaquez, Aaron (Sarah) Roybal, Jillian (Eric) Malone; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Ellen (Manuel) Espinoza, and Vera Lujan; sister in laws Betty Esquibel, Mercy Gallegos, Theresa (Rosendo) Ricon; special nieces, Diane (Mike) Serna and Louella (Jack) Salazar; along with a numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Ted married the love of his life, Lorraine, in June of 1966. Together they had two sons, Toby and Teddy. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a very private and proud man. His way of showing his love was through his actions and his loyalty. He was a brilliant, hard-working handyman with so many talents and skills. A true jack of all trades. In 2012, he retired from CF&I, where he worked in tube mill. During one of the layoffs from the Mill, he attended classes at PCC, receiving his associates degree in welding, graduating Cum Laude.
Being the jokester he was, he was always pulling pranks on someone. He always looked sharp with his hat and boots. He was a macho man, who always spoke his mind and didn’t hold his tongue. He had very strong values and morals. A trait he passed on to his children and grandchildren, helping them build a strong foundation for life. He had quite the sweet tooth, especially for home made goodies. His passion was working on and modifying cars. He had many “boy toys” that he loved to tinker with, especially his hot rods. Boy did he have a lead foot. But his favorite hobby, for the last 10 years, was being his grandson’s roadie. Meeting hundreds of people along the way. He was a great dancer, with his little shoulder moves.
His devotion to the Lord was immense and he was waiting to join him and all his loved ones in Heaven. To know Ted was to love him.
He will be forever loved, missed and remembered!
