Thomas Rex Thayer, 65, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2026. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue (Freshour) Thayer; father, Dale Thayer; mother, Phyllis Smith Thayer.
Left to cherish his memory are, his son, Thomas Thayer (Maria); stepdaughter, Nikki Teske (Brian); brother, Clark Thayer (Beth); granddaughters, Aryanna Thayer (Ben) and Brooke Thayer.
Thomas enjoyed sailing, shooting his guns, being outdoors and teaching his son to ride his motorcycle. He worked as a boiler maker. Starting at Local 101 and retired at local 549.
He will be missed.
