Toby "Tobias" F. Garcia

Toby “Tobias” Garcia, 54, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on October 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 16, 1971, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Margaret Alfaro. He met the love of his life, Delores Avila, in 1999, and soon after they married. From that moment on, he became the only dad we ever knew, proudly stepping up for all five of us and loving us as his own. From the day he entered our lives, Toby became our hero. Toby was a hardworking, loyal, and devoted family man. A skilled carpenter, he believed every strong home begins with a solid foundation, a value he carried into the life and family he built with love and strength. He is survived by his children Amy Avila, Felicia (Makoto) Robinson, Amelia (Ricky) Duran, and David Avila; grandchildren Alexander Avila, Alyssa (Paul) Budz, Brandon (Amber) Avila, Jasmine Avila, Iliana Avila, Josiah Avila, Jacob Avila, Elian Garcia, and Lucas Sabin-Avila; and great-grandchildren Lily Budz, Diego Avila, and Audie Budz. He is also survived by his sister Darlene (Fares) Cordova and numerous nieces, nephews and family. He was preceded in death by his wife Delores Avila-Garcia; stepson Bryant Avila; mother Margaret Alfaro; sister Deborah Mascarenas; and grandparents Bernadine and Vidal Roybal.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Angeles Funeral Home on Evans Avenue in Pueblo.
