Urlinda Pat Martinez, 72, affectionately known as “Pat” passed away July 20, 2024. A lifetime Puebloan she was born March 17, 1952 to parents, Jose Fred and Lilly Martinez. Both precede her in death along with her sisters, Sandra Mascarenas and Virginia Santisteven; brother, Rudy Martinez; and grandmother, (Santitos) Mary Aragon.
Urlinda attended Edison Elementary, Keating Junior High and Central High School. She enjoyed gambling, going to the casinos and Cripple Creek with her brother Rudy and Corrine. She was known for her cooking; her specialty was chicken and chorizo tacos. She also enjoyed hanging out with her friends, having a cold one, singing, dancing and listening to music. Oldies and Spanish were her favorites. Urlinda’s favorite color was orange. She was very proud of her two sons, spending quality time and sharing her life stories with them were some of the most precious moments for her.
Urlinda is survived by her children, Frank Martinez, and Matthew (Raven) Olivas; grandchildren, Maranda Trujillo, Fernando Martinez, and Emilia Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Corrine Martinez; godchildren, Angel Arnold and Nevine Anzaldua; numerous stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of extended family and friends.
Celebration of Life, 11 am, Thurs., August 15, 2024 at Mesa Christian Fellowship, 28726 US-50 BUS, Pueblo, CO. 81006. Inurnment, Roselawn Cemetery.
