Vincent Gaines

Vincent Gaines was born an angel into this world on 8-17-52.  He went back home to Jesus on 7-1-2020, after a month long fight with COVID. He was 67.  He fought it till the very end.  We loved our life together.  He was such an amazing man. Always helping people, doing anything and everything for anyone that needed help.  He is survived by his wife, Sheila and his son, Carter. He left behind so many friends and loved ones!! We found each other when we were both going through dark times and we were each other’s light for almost 5 years and we had the most amazing relationship and marriage.  He showed me what true, genuine and unconditional love was. 

He worked at university park care center for almost 20 years and absolutely loved his job!  He loved all his residents and his coworkers and never said a bad or mean thing about anyone.  I sometimes wondered why he was never upset. He never let anything bother him.  Never spoke rudely, was always full of respect and kindness to everyone, especially to me.  That’s when I knew he was an angel.  Only God himself can give an angel like Vince the patience to put up with me. He was an amazing stepdad to my son.  Gave me everything I ever wanted and never denied me anything.
One of his biggest passions was cooking!  He cooked everything under the sun!  He was especially great at BBQ! 

He had a special and close relationship with Jesus.  We talked about heaven alot and I know that his salvation is safe and he is happy and rejoicing in heaven.  He’s no longer suffering from this world.  Although Jesus took him way too soon from me, I’m positive I will see him again in heaven.
