Viola Marie Martinez

Viola Marie Martinez, 82, passed away on July 6, 2026.  Born December 8, 1943 to Abenicio “Abe” Lefebre and Pauline Caro in Pueblo, CO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Pauline Lefebre; siblings, Max, Daniel, James, Charles, Benny, Roger, and Lupe (Gene) Martinez.

Viola loved to cook, read and share the Lord’s word.  She looked forward to family gatherings.  Spending time with those she loved and eating good food.  Sharing her life lessons, words of wisdom and giving all her love to her family and sisters of the church. She enjoyed playing cards and board games. She would tell her children “we are doing something constructive”.  Viola didn’t have much but she was very content and would always provide and make it happen.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Pauline Medina, Rita Medina, Patricio “Pat” (Lisa) Martinez, Leonardo Martinez, Nick (Rachelle) Gurule; siblings Arthur (Patricia) Lefebre, Leonard Lefebre, Bertha (Robert) Basquez; 5 grandchildren; along with numerous other family and friends.

We will always remember her saying “Remember I’m not watching you, but God is!”  She will be forever loved and missed!
