Virginia (Gonzales) Cisneros

Virginia Cisneros 79, a life-long Pueblo resident, born August 24th, 1946 closed her eyes and opened them up to the light of Jesus and her new life in heaven on February 28th, 2026.

Virg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She dedicated her life to her family and her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. Her home was always open and welcomed to all. She truly enjoyed cooking, crafting, and supporting her family through any and all of their trials, tribulations, successes, and passions. Her kindness, compassion, grace, and beautiful smile will never be forgotten.

Virg was deeply admired by her family, friends, and even those who briefly knew her. Her legacy will be the love, memories, patience, and values she instilled in her family.  She had an inner wisdom about her. Her opinion was not forced upon, but sought after. She was the true matron of the family. Her counsel, love, and presence will leave an insurmountable void. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Maria Gonzales and her brother, Adolph. She is survived by her husband Sam of 57 years. Her two daughters, Dana (Rich), Lisa (John), and special niece Dawn Gruenzner. Her grandchildren, Curtis (Tanya), Ryan, Jordan, John, Maverick, Paul (Audrey), Chris, Jesi (Tyler), Jack, and Vivie. She is also survived by her loving and supportive siblings, Leola, Paul (Gayle), Kathy (Lloyd), Arnold (Theresa) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Virg was an angel on Earth and now in heaven. She will be deeply missed by family and friends from now until forever.  

Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Wednesday March 4th, 2026 at 2:30 PM.
