Yolanda Morning Star Carrillo Garcia, 42, left on the stairway to heaven to join her brother, Justin Carrillo on Sun. Jan. 7, 2024. She was born Jan. 24, 1981, to Delbert Begay and Eva Carrillo. Yolanda is also preceded in death by her grandparents, Bennie and Virginia Carrillo, Eloy and Socorro Arellano; uncle, Ben Carrillo; godfather, Charlie Herrera and favorite cousin, Roxanne Cowan. Yolanda attended Minnequa Elementary, Corwin Middle School and Central High School, they were some of her best days. She enjoyed good food, Mexican was her favorite, listening to music, and going bumming with her friends. Yolanda loved shopping with her daughter Sierra. Her children were her world. She lived for Isaiah and Sierra, always wanting to make sure everything was perfect for them. Yolanda loved her family, her mother Eva was her best friend and her biggest cheerleader, always by her side. She was a Raiders fan; win or lose she was cheering them on. Yolanda fought hard throughout her illness, no matter how bad or sick, she kept that smile on her face.

Yolanda is survived by her loving mom, Eva Carrillo; stepdad, Robert (Lillian) Arellano; biological father, Delbert Begay; her children, Sierra and Isaiah Jaques; father of her children, Louis Buzz Jaques; godmother, Grace Herrera; sister, Kayla in New Mexico; several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Nevada and Florida; several friends and stepchildren who she loved, and they will miss her dearly.
