Yvette M. Montoya, 66, passed away July 3, 2024. She was born April 20, 1958 in San Diego, CA. to parents, Clayton and Patricia (Blackwell) Jones, both precede her in death along with her husband, Manuel Montoya Jr. and her brother, Michael Jones.
Yvette was a 1976 graduate of Central High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from USC and her Master of Social Work from KU. She was a social worker at Crossroads for many years. It was in her blood to help others; she had a very big heart. Yvette’s hobbies included her love of reading and watching crime dramas. She cheered for the Broncos, win or lose. Yvette was very crafty and great artist; she was a talented painter. She was a great mom and was always very supportive of her boys. She had a true dedication to her, children, parents, grandparents, family and people around her.
Yvette is survived by her children, Brendan Montoya and Ethan Montoya (Stacy); her siblings, Jim (Joanette) Jones, Tricia Jones, Georgette (Todd) Daggett, and Paul (Carina) Jones; her sisters-in-law, Marge Soto, Shari Jones, and Donna Crecelius; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Funeral Mass, 2 pm, Wed., July 17, 2024 at Christ the King Catholic Parish.
